Multi-talented artist/producer and songwriter SILVASTONE kickstarts an exciting new music release campaign with his first official single of 2020. “Falling For You” is a smoothed-out uptempo masterpiece that once again illustrates SILVASTONE’s unique signature production style of blending multiple genres. This time the London-based Ghanaian/Sierra Leonean talent artfully draws inspiration largely from heavy SA House and Amapiano infused beatscapes whilst demonstrating genius brush-strokes from his soulful R&B palette. The picturesque piece is completed with an emotive vocal performance of abstract lyrics that joyfully paint the pains of falling in love with the wrong soul. And this work of art is skillfully framed on a canvas of beautiful and melodious Afrobeats textures.
As SILVASTONE himself describes, “’Falling For You’ is a special song that takes me to a place of spirituality and connects with the deeper meaning of love. It was inspired by stories of repeatedly falling in love with someone despite knowing full well the relationship wasn’t working out. It’s a cry of mixed emotions and a celebration of this realisation“. Evidently the juxtapositional self-production is also inspired by this conundrum too – thumping energetic drums expertly blended with soothing laid-back melodic vibes.
SILVASTONE had already been testing the song at numerous festivals and events prior to the Covid-19 pandemic breakout including performing it to great reception at Boomtown Festival (UK) late-last year and the TINA Festival in Ghana earlier the year. It was whilst in Accra during the “Year Of Return” festivities that he also shot the song’s accompanying music video dropping soon.
“Falling For You” is now officially out on all streaming platforms worldwide independently via his own ‘Silvastone Music’ imprint. It was world premiered by DJ Edu at BBC Radio 1Xtra and has since been enjoying overwhelming early support by an array of leading Afrobeats DJs/radio shows internationally and enjoying additions on numerous Spotify and AppleMusic curated playlists, etc.
As one of the UK’s most prominent Afrobeats artisians SILVASTONE is readying to turn a new chapter with new music, a new vision and enthused determination that will further catapult him and the continued rise of the genre globally. The popular Croydon creative promises a regular delivery of new music – including a brand new body of work, in this second half of 2020. Exciting!

Idahams Drops Remix to “Shima” Featuring Seyi Shay and Peruzzi
In the last year, we have seen Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Idahams grow into the Lover man that girls adore, following his last project ‘Man on Fire EP’. Now he is back with a remix to his Valentine ballad ‘Shima’ featuring Seyi Shay and Peruzzi.
Produced by Idahams himself, “Shima Remix” maintains the message of the original song about a young lover who is skeptical about showing his true emotion to his love interest while Peruzzi was more demanding and expressive about what he wanted from his love interest. Seyi Shay at the other end, takes on the Bonnie & Clyde vibe as she stands by her partner, while holding back so she is not taken for granted in the long run.
Speaking on the choice of collaboration Idahams says, “As a producer as well as a singer it gives me a little edge to view music a bit differently. So I thought Shima deserved a remix that will have a male expression and a female response. So I spoke with my team and we agreed that Seyi Shay and Perruzi will give it that touch. We then sent it to them and they loved it and see how beautiful they came through on it.”
